1937 House on the Water Framed Crewel

I really do love finding treasures like this, especially when those treasures have a lasting mark to prove their age. This amazing hand-made Crewel framed art looks to be of a house surrounded by lovely greenery, flowers, and beautiful blue flowing water. 

The frame is the original and the backing is a bit fragile from age. It has two eye hooks with a wire for hanging. "Made By Muriel H. Bedell August, 1937." is written in two spots on the back, one in traditional handwriting and the other is in cursive. I love that so much. The art itself is untouched and preserved behind glass. The colors are as vibrant as ever too.

Such love and hard work obviously went into creating this stunning hand-made Crewel art from the 1930s.
