Vintage Mary Modanna Planter Bundle

This is a beautiful and unusual ceramic planter set of the Virgin Mary in white, soft blue and gold trim. The larger one stands almost 13" tall and the smaller one is 8.5” tall.

While Roman Catholic iconography has occasionally depicted The Blessed Virgin standing upon and crushing the Serpent (Satan), it is rare to find this particular symbolism in a planter designed for the home. But here we see that wily old devil ---with apple in his mouth---trampled beneath Mary's feet! Remains of gold foil bell label on bottom, Nancy Pew Giftwares Co., Made in Japan.

Condition: both are in very nice condition, there are two small chips on the smaller gals head, not noticeable unless looking. Otherwise these two planters are in gorgeous vintage condition.
