Vintage Portrait de Jeune Femme – A Cameo Creation

This small Victorian-esque ornate Cameo Creation portrait is lovely! The portrait is miniature in size and displayed under a convex/dome glass with beautifully detailed gold trim surrounded by a sea of deep red velvet. The beautiful ornate gold-like floral frame is a Rococo style plastic resin, and is original to the portrait. The frame is marked © Cameo; 103 on the back. 

Produced during the 1940's - 1960's "Cameo Creations" was an inexpensive way to have a fancy art collection in your home. They were mainly portraits of noblewomen from the 18th and 19th centuries.

There is a an eye hook attached to the back for hanging.
