Vintage Westmoreland Purple & White Slag Glass Swung Bud Vase

What a perfect mix of mystery and beauty. Like most slag glass the mix of colors make a beautiful original styled bud vase with a lovely little swung mouth. The pairing of the white and purple glass create a lovely design abstract design.

What is slag glass you ask?

"Slag glass" is a collectors' name for opaque pressed glass with colored streaks paired with usually white and/or cream streaks. The name derives from the belief that these colors were achieved by adding slag from iron smelting works to the glass.
